Care & questions

Leather is forgiving stuff. A little attention now and then is genuinely all it needs to outlast almost everything else you own.

Looking after it

A simple care routine

Keep it dry

If it gets wet, let it dry slowly at room temperature. Never use a hairdryer or a radiator — fast heat makes leather stiff and brittle, and there is no undoing it.

Clean it gently

A soft, dry cloth and a light brush is almost always enough. Skip household cleaners and solvents; they strip the finish and lift the colour.

Condition occasionally

Every three to six months, work in a small amount of quality leather conditioner with a cloth. Less is more — build it up slowly rather than soaking the hide.

Store it well

Somewhere cool and dry, out of long spells of direct sun. Stuff pouches lightly so they hold their shape rather than creasing flat.

Let it age

Vegetable-tanned leather darkens and softens with use. Scuffs and a deepening patina are the point, not a fault — they are the record of it being carried.

Frequently asked questions

What type of leather do you use?

We use high-quality leather sourced from reputable tanneries. Most of our work is in vegetable-tanned leather, chosen for its durability and the way it develops a patina over time. Some pieces — our pouches in particular — use chrome-tanned leather, which stays softer and more supple.

Do you offer custom orders?

Yes, and we genuinely enjoy them. Custom pieces usually take four to six weeks. Get in touch to talk through your idea, the materials and pricing.

How do I care for my leather goods?

Keep it dry, brush off debris now and then with a soft dry cloth, and condition it every three to six months with a decent leather conditioner. Store it somewhere cool and dry, and keep it out of long spells of direct sunlight.

How long does shipping take?

In-stock orders ship within three to five business days. Custom orders take four to six weeks to make, plus shipping time.

Do you offer engraving or personalisation?

We offer hand-tooled or stitched personalisation on most pieces — initials, names, dates or a short phrase. It adds $10–25 depending on complexity, and usually one to two business days. Pronoun earring customisation is free.

Can I see your work in person?

Yes — we set up at markets and events around Nashville. Upcoming dates are listed on our contact page whenever we have them booked.

Still have a question?

We answer every message ourselves, usually within a day or two.
